Many attachments and light banter…
In June we were at Fieldays – the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event providing plenty of opportunities to catch up and connect with people and machinery. This year we added a little extra mystery to Mystery Creek too, our lucky dip promotion providing a nice cherry on the top to lucky customers.
For Earthworm, Mystery Creek is familiar territory. We’ve been attending for years, and it remains one of the best opportunities on the calendar to get in front of our customers, showcasing the range and getting their feedback on what’s needed to make light work of their projects.
The four-day mega event drew record crowds and over 1,200 exhibitors, with the latest machinery, technology and innovation on display across the 114-hectare site. It’s always a buzz being part of an event of this scale, and a great chance to see how the industry is evolving on the ground.
We had a range of attachments on show, with screening buckets, rock breakers, shears, pulverisers, grabs and grapples all drawing plenty of attention.
The Malaguti compactor proved particularly popular, as did the Eagle steel shears, with steady interest from contractors assessing the demolition and recycling strengths of the latter.
This year we also introduced our Earthworm Mystery Creek Mystery Box promotion. Buyers drew from a lucky dip of prizes including Earthworm gloves, Bunnings gift cards, a LG TV, wearparts vouchers, and JBL speakers. Every buyer was a winner.
“It’s always helpful being able to talk to the crowds at these big events,” said Earthworm Director Jerry McLean. “It’s valuable hearing from both present and future customers, especially when it comes to understanding what they see is happening on site – and what they see in their futures.”

Earthworm manager Rick McLean agreed the event was a strong one for the range.
“Mystery Creek always reminds you just how broad our attachment offering is,” he said. “You get contractors from completely different industries all stopping at the same stand and there’s generally something in the range for all of them.”
