Many attachments make for a lot of work

Earthworm out in the field

There’s nothing better than getting out in the field (and in the yard, by the lake, etc) to see a bit of kit performing as it should. Here are a few attachments making light work of some important jobs…

Demonstration work, Christchurch

Gyru-Star Screening Bucket

Topsoil screening in a landscape supplies yard is made easier in winter with a quality screening bucket. It helps when the piles aren’t too wet inside either, as a test on the Gyru-Star quickly established.

FLS Contracting, Gisborne

Malaguti Plury W280 Compacter

With 300mm diameter piles being driven 6m deep this orchard needed strength and speed in its pile driving. The Malaguti’s twin eccentric system power has boosted productivity for this work.

Millent Civil Works, Sydney

DEMCO DMB36 Rock Breaker

As part of the foundation work and site prep there was a lot of rock to move with a small machine on this site. The full hydraulic power of the DMB36 hammered everything into shape.

K2 Contracting, Invercargill

Vosch Grapple Saw

There are still plenty of casualties from last year’s storm, and clearing out this hedge next to the Invercargill airport required speed and efficiency. The plan was for the whole hedge to be down and processed in one day.

Twin Peaks Earthworks, Queenstown

AugerTorque Drive Unit / TEBCO Rock Auger

Foundations and retaining wall piles were required to 10 metres deep, and a very steep rock shelf running down through the site made drilling challenging. A TEBCO core barrel provided the cut-through strength while keeping the holes running true.

Bristol Metals, Christchurch

DEMCO DYM600 Orange Peel Grab

Loading containers in a scrap yard is made easier with a heavy duty DEMCO grab and a Steelwrist quick coupler, ensuring the operator can quickly change to a steel shear with no hoses to worry about and no unnecessary hassle.
