It’s almost time for Southern Field Days
New Zealand’s second-largest annual agricultural event is arriving soon! Southern Field Days is croppingup at Waimumu on February 11-13th. We’ll be there. Will you?
In 2024 there were approximately 40,000 people through the gates over the three day event. This year certainly won’t be any smaller.
In February there’ll be over 700 exhibitors set to showcase the latest in rural machinery and technology. Add in all the events and food trucks and there’s a lot to see and do.
We’ve been regular exhibitors at the Field Days for over 20 years now. While the equipment has changed over this time, the sense of community remains the same.
Earthworm GM Rick McLean is looking forward to a big three days.
“It’s such an important event. We get to have those face to face interactions with both new customers and those who have been loyal customers of ours for years,” he says.
“We also get to showcase our range of hydraulic attachments that help build productivity on farm and on site. Many people know us for selling augers, but Southern Field Days is a chance to see a lot more of the Earthworm product range.”

“It’s always great to check out everything else that’s going on in the industry. These practical conversations about what’s coming next for the sector are so valuable.”
Despite the growing popularity of the event, Rick says they still have that “strong community feel” reminiscent of all good Southland events. No doubt there will be plenty of chances for a chinwag or two.
Getting the attachments polished up and ready won’t be an issue either – Earthworm’s Southland office is only 6km down the road as the crow flies. So, everything will be on site and ready to check out, from handy grapple saws to multi-purpose plate compactors, augers to screening buckets, skidsteer attachments and much more.
Come check out our range at Site 445.
